Family Department

The Family Department comprises experienced solicitors only and one of our team is a member of the Law Society Family Panel, which means the Law Society has recognised her as a specialist in this field.
We have a Legal Services Commission franchise. That means we are approved by the Legal Services Commission to carry out work both under the Legal Help and Public Funding schemes. We can grant emergency legal aid to clients where necessary subject to eligibility.
We can also put you in touch with other services as you require including Relate, Mediation Services, Contact Centres, Citizens Advice Bureaux and Domestic Violence Units.
We undertake the following areas of work:-
- Divorce and separation including Separation Deeds and Pre-marital Agreements.
- Finances including property, pensions, maintenance and child support.
- Civil partnership dissolution.
- Children – all disputes concerning children such as residence, contact and parental responsibility, adoption and change of name.
- Child care matters where Social Services are involved.
- Injunctions to protect against violence and harassment.
